I have been watching for signs in the Task Manager's Wireless Performance graph that my laptop is getting or sharing to any of the other 3 Windows 10 machines on my network. I have never seen it happen. The desktops are wired. The laptops are wireless. The internet connection maxes out at 3Mbps, so when the graph shows that the wireless connection is pulling a steady 3Mbps, it's easy to see that there is no sharing going on. Is there a trick to this? If it's an issue with updates being purged before the next computer want's them, is there a way to lengthen the cache time?
This feature would be very valuable to me if it actually worked.

Before Windows 10, Windows computers get updates mainly through 2 channels, either directly from Microsoft Windows Update servers, or from a WSUS server if in a corporate network. Now Microsoft adds some new interesting ways to deliver these updates.

I have 4 computers at work, and even though "Updates from more than one place" is ticked at "PCs on my local network" I notice that it doesn't we don't have a broadband Internet, unfortunately just a LTE with limited transfer.
All those computers are connected to the same router, all have enabled every sharing setting, even documents etc. Is there any fix or way to have Windows 10 use updates already downloaded on other PCs on the local network? If downloaded four times is quite excessive and inefficient IMHO. Instead, the download is broken down into smaller parts. Windows then gets parts of the update or app from the PCs that have it, and parts from Microsoft. Windows uses the fastest, most reliable download source for each part.
What you may be experiencing is a case where Windows determines that it would be more reliable to access a "part" of the download source directly from Microsoft and thus off the Internet.
The above also implies that no update can actually be successfully installed without a "part" or multiple "parts" of the update coming from Microsoft. When Windows downloads an update or app using Delivery Optimization, it will look for other PCs on your local network or from the Internet, depending on your settings that have already downloaded that update or app. Through Delivery Optimization, Windows downloads parts of the update which means that there is likely no easy way to force the retrieval of full updates from other PCs on your LAN.
You can use any of the aforementioned methods to update network adapter driver and resolve the network connectivity issues on your own. However, if you wish to get the latest driver without implementing several manual steps, you can perform the task automatically with Bit Driver Updater.
